Drink plenty of water, 8 to 10 8 oz. glasses are recommended daily. Consume more if you sweat or work out a lot. The muscles and organs are made up of water and the body needs it to function.

Exercise

How to be fit and healthy also takes exercise and an active lifestyle. There are different types of exercise, you can workout to lose weight or build muscle. There is also strength training and you can train to have explosive power.

Exercise is important in burning extra calories to produce better weight loss gains. It also shapes and tones the muscles. If you lift heavier poundage for less reps you can build muscle. Many people mix them all for gains that show in many ways.

You can get yourself a trainer or a good workout program. I like the ones on CD that you train to with the trainer.

Learning how to be fit and healthy also involves changes like taking a walk or a bike ride. This means to get off the couch and move around. By adding these physical activities to your lifestyle you give yourself a better chance at success and a happier life.
